These are knitted on a 200-needle machine, giving a tighter, denser construction than the flimsy novelty socks that appear every fall and turn sheer by November. At 45 grams a pair, they give real cushioning beneath the foot without becoming a chunky boot sock. The wide ribbed cuff has elastic woven through it and is tall enough to reach mid-calf and hold its place all day, whether you're in loafers, boots, or sneakers.
They're designed to be worn, not just photographed. The colors read as seasonal instead of costume-like: burnt orange, navy, grey, charcoal and army green each pass for ordinary fall socks from a distance, and the small motif suits a desk, the school run, or a work shoe. Every set holds five pairs, one in each design, which is enough for a work week or can be divided into five small gifts.
